We returned to Las Vegas for SHOT Show 2010 and they had near record attendance, which was good. The bad news is that the Sands Convention Center is the worst venue I can recall in my decade of attending SHOT Show. I didn't meet a single attendee or exhibitor who had even a single positive word for the venue. "Sucks" would be paying it a compliment.
Having got that off my chest and on record, let's get to good stuff, the new gear. It was a much more upbeat show this year, though still somewhat reserved on day one. After the Massachusetts election results were announced Tuesday, you could feel the difference on the floor among the generally conservative crowd with a good deal more opromism evident in discussions. As usual, we concentrated on the new knives and lights, but we did take note of other relevant gear.
