Wilderness Medical Training
Schools & Courses

Red Cross and similar first aid and EMT training is much better than nothing, but it must be noted that it is geared towards rapid transfer of patients to a hospital setting. Wilderness medical training assumes this will not always be the case, an important distinction which is reflected in significant differences in how many critical medical issues are dealt with. Even wilderness medical training can fall short in the area of survival medicine, but it is far and away superior to most other emergency medical training.
