Equipped To Survive Foundation Gains Tax-exempt Status

Equipped To Survive Foundation, Inc., of Chandler, Arizona, is officially a "charity case" having received tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service. This newly established non-profit foundation was formed to educate the general public, government and search and rescue communities concerning survival and safety related equipment, supplies and techniques for use in urban, wilderness, aviation and marine environments.

The Equipped To Survive Foundation's principle activities are to solicit grants and contributions to fund research and educational projects involving these subjects and to support the continued operation and expansion of the seven-year-old internationally renowned Equipped To Survive™ Web site (www.equipped.org) as its primary free-to-the-public educational outlet.

Doug Ritter, Chairman of the Foundation and Founder and Editor of Equipped To Survive™, said "we anticipate that tax-deductible contributions and funding garnered by this Foundation will allow us to greatly expand our educational efforts and to reach many more people with information that could save their lives."

The Equipped To Survive Foundation has registered with Guidstar.com and is now eligible to accept tax-deductible donations though Network for Good. No service charges are deducted from donations processed by Network for Good, so 100% of a supporter's contribution goes to the Foundation.
